The San Diego City Fire Fighters have endorsed Scott Peters for the First District San Diego City Council seat being vacated by Councilmember Harry Mathis.
As Councilmember, Scott Peters will support the communities he represents by supporting public safety and supporting firefighters. Peters Is committed to ensuring that fire protection and paramedic services are kept strong throughout the city. Peters is a hard worker who has taken the time to understand the issues affecting fire fighters and affecting public safety, and he is the best choice to represent this District.
Scott Peters is also a committed community leader who brings an excellent record of experience to this campaign. As an attorney who has worked for both the public and private sectors, Peters' experience with environmental and land use issues will serve him well as he tackles pressing First District problems like traffic congestion and growth. Peters also has a record of community involvement and service, from the La Jolla Town Council and Friends of La Jolla Library to citywide efforts such as the Lindbergh Field Master Plan Update and the San Diego Taxpayers Association Issues Committee.
