CITY COUNCIL MATTERS
A MESSAGE FROM SCOTT

San Diego is facing serious challenges -- traffic congestion, poorly planned growth, inattention to important budget issues, and a lack of will to protect our natural resources.
The four new members of the San Diego City Council who take office in December, along with our new Mayor, will determine whether the next decade of growth will improve or destroy our quality of life. The council is our City's board of directors, and each council member is the advocate and problem-solver for as many as 150,000 constituents who live within a council district. From potholes to storm drain pollution of our beaches, and from police response times to building permit snafus, your council member is your voice at City Hall.
Do we really want to trust such an important job to someone with no experience dealing with city government and business? After 15 years as an environmental attorney helping business and local governments, I am prepared to help our city meet the challenges of growth. I hope you help me gain that opportunity by supporting my campaign.
